Do you offer refunds?

Generally speaking, we do not provide refunds (for example, for things like unused and/or expired credits). We can provide refunds under specific circumstances, like issues where we may be at fault in our delivery of service to you. We review these on a case-by-case basis.

Do you offer discounts for nonprofits?

Yes, Reckon does provide discounts for non-profits and certain mission-oriented companies. Please reach out to support@reckonapp.io to inquire.

What happens if I go over my plan limit?

There's two things that could happen if you hit/exceed your plan limit, depending upon your account settings:

  • Overage spending is off (default): When your credit balance hits zero (exceeding a plan limit is not allowed), service gets interrupted. To restore service, you'd need to enable overage spending or upgrade your plan.

  • Overage spending is on: Service continues uninterrupted, and we begin tracking the credit you're using that are in excess of your plan. These credits are billed to you on your next invoice. It's not open-ended, though. When you enable overage spending, we require that you enter in an overage cap, so that you always know the max amount you're likely to pay.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. We do not prorate, however. Here's some examples of what that means:

  • If you upgrade in the middle of your billing cycle, you will not get access to the new plan limits until your next billing cycle begins. We recommend enabling overage spending to bridge the gap.

  • If you downgrade in the middle of your billing cycle, your new plan limit will not go into effect until the next billing cycle. You can still use your higher plan limits until then.

What goes into your pricing?

Reckon's pricing is simple and transparent. Every plan is made up of two components:

  1. A flat, base platform access fee. This enables us to pay for infrastructure, support, and any features in support of email verification (like reporting and compliance features).

  2. The cost of the credits. Simply, the number of credits × cost-per-credit.

  3. Overage. Optional spending above your plan limit, yet at the same cost-per-credit as your plan already offers.

That's it. You will never pay any other fees or charges to get the value of Reckon in your business.

Do credits expire?

Yes, credits do expire at the turn of the billing cycle on your subscription. While this is a bit of a bummer (we’d love to offer forever credits), it is best practice in business accounting, and we believe its a signal that you’re working with a legitimate, ethical company.
